GINA Law Takes Effect Tomorrow

The Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA), which prevents employers and insurance companies from using genetic information–including family medical history–in hiring or coverage decisions, goes into effect tomorrow. The law was passed last year and alleviates Americans’ fears about information from genetic tests being used against them.
