Momentum Builds for Your Congress–Your Health
Early this month, all members of Congress will receive a questionnaire from Research!America, the Albert and Mary Lasker Foundation and several supporting partners. The questions are based on public feedback to a March 11 article in PARADE magazine, which will feature the initiative again in future issues.
AARP, the Alzheimer's Association, the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America and Revolution Health have signed on as partners, joining the Association of American Medical Colleges, the Association of Schools of Public Health, The Endocrine Society,The Joseph H. Kanter Family Foundation, the National Alliance for Hispanic Health and the Society for Neuroscience.
E-mail your Congressional delegation and ask them to let you know their views. It's important that all Americans know where their Representative and Senators stand on medical research and other health-related issues because Congress influences so many aspects of health.
