Highlights from local economic impact studies

United for Medical Research's 2011 study, An Economic Engine, shows that in 2010 NIH invested $8,000,000 in Wyoming, producing 403 jobs.

According to a report from BIO and Battelle, the University of Wyoming received the largest grant in its history from the NIH in 2005. The 5-year, $13 million Institutional Development Award will encourage interdisciplinary research capacity in women's health, integrative physiology, and rural public health outcomes.

The University of Wyoming will use a portion of its $7.2 million EPSCoR award to fund an ecological geneticist and a Nucleic Acid Exploration Core Facility.
