Annual Meeting of Members

Hemisphere Room, Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Center, Washington DC
March 13, 2013

If your organization is a Research!America member, join our Board of Directors and distinguished guests for a luncheon on March 13, 2013, from 12 to 1:30 p.m., in the Hemisphere Room of the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center.

The luncheon program will feature guest speakers The Honorable Joseph P. Kennedy (D-MA) and John Crowley, President & CEO of Cranbury, New Jersey-based Amicus Therapeutics. John’s involvement in the biotech industry goes back over a decade and stems from the 1998 diagnosis of his two youngest children, Megan and Patrick, with Pompe disease: a rare and fatal neuromuscular disorder.  The Crowley family journey has been chronicled in The Wall Street Journal, in the book by Pulitzer Prize winning writer Geeta Anand, The Cure, and in the 2010 major motion picture Extraordinary Measures starring Harrison Ford and Brendan Fraser.

Research!America will have the privilege of recognizing John for his untiring advocacy with the Gordon and Llura Gund Leadership Award at Research!America’s Advocacy Awards Dinner to be held later that evening.

The annual meeting luncheon will also include election of directors, reports from leadership and other member responsibilities.
