Eugene Garfield Economic Impact of Medical and Health Research Award
Presented to Amitabh Chandra & Douglas O. Staiger for their outstanding analysis of how medical and health research impacts the economy.
The seventh annual Garfield Award luncheon will be Tuesday, October 14, 2008.
This year's keynote speaker is New York Times "Economic Scene" columnist and The Times Magazine staff writer, David Leonhardt.
The ceremony will be held from 12-2 p.m. in the Knight Conference Center at the Newseum, 555 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC.
