Research!America is working with key global health R&D stakeholders on the ground in Maryland to inform policy-makers and discuss cross-sector collaboration in global health research within the state. Maryland is home to both the FDA and NIH, the world's largest medical research institute. Together, they employ 25,000 people. Johns Hopkins University and Health System contribute more than $10 billion per year to the state's economy and are among Maryland's largest employers with 47,000 employees.
