Only 11% of Americans say they are well-informed about their elected officials' positions on research. To improve this number, Research!America, the Albert and Mary Lasker Foundation and our partners invited all members of Congress to complete a questionnaire about where they stand on medical, health and scientific research and other issues that affect our health.
Because Congress can influence so many aspects of our health, in ways that may not be apparent, knowing where your representative and senators stand on these issues is important for all Americans.
Joining Research!America and the Lasker Foundation in this initiative are AARP, Alzheimer's Association, American Academy of Nursing, American Association of Colleges of Nursing, American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, Association of American Medical Colleges, Association of Schools of Public Health, The Endocrine Society, The Joseph H. Kanter Family Foundation, Kidney Cancer Association, National Alliance for Hispanic Health, Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, Revolution Health , Society for Neuroscience and United Health Foundation.
