Lucinda Maine, PhD, RPh
Lucinda Maine serves as Executive Vice President and CEO of the American Association of Colleges and Pharmacy. As the leading advocate of high quality pharmacy education, AACP's vision is that academic pharmacy will work to transform the future of health care to create a world of healthy people.
Dr. Maine previously served as Senior Vice President for Policy, Planning and Communications with the American Pharmacists Association (APhA). She served on the faculty at the University of Minnesota where she practiced in the field of geriatrics and was an associate professor and associate dean at the Samford University School of Pharmacy. Her current interests include innovations in health professions education, including interprofessinal education, and global human resources for health.
Dr. Maine is a pharmacy graduate of Auburn University and received her doctorate at the University of Minnesota. Her research includes projects on aging, pharmacy manpower and pharmacy-based immunizations. Lucinda has been active in leadership roles in the profession. Prior to joining the APhA staff she served as Speaker of the APhA House of Delegates and as an APhA Trustee. She currently serves as president of the Pharmacy Workforce Center and as a board member of Research!America.
