The 25th anniversary of the Research!America Advocacy Awards recognized individuals and organizations whose commitment to science, technology, and public health has contributed to societal progress in profoundly important ways. The 2021 event, presented virtually, featured a mix of interviews, fireside chats, and Q&A sessions to introduce and honor the 2020 and 2021 Awardees. Click here to watch the recording.

Research!America's Advocacy Awards
Research!America shaped our 25th Anniversary Advocacy Awards around goals that are actually intertwined: to celebrate the 2020 honorees we were unable to salute in March 2020 due to restrictions caused by COVID-19, to honor key congressional champions for medical and public health research, and to recognize individuals and organizations front and center in the fight against COVID-19. These honorees, recipients of the Outstanding Achievement in Public Health Awards, recipients of the 2021 Edwin C. Whitehead Awards, and our esteemed 2020 honorees exemplify the vision, resolve, expertise and hard work that drive medical and public health progress. Scientists, advocates, organizations, and partnerships; they each have contributed in remarkable ways to our individual and collective health.
The annual Research!America Advocacy Awards Program was established in 1996 by the Board of Directors to honor outstanding advocates for medical, health, and scientific research. We recognize individuals and organizations whose leadership efforts have been notably effective in advancing our nation's commitment to research. A list of our past Advocacy Awards honorees is available here. To learn more about supporting the Advocacy Awards, contact Katie Goode at firstname.lastname@example.org.
