In a Washington Post article about a climate change conference cancelled by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Research!America board member Georges Benjamin, M.D., director of the American Public Health Association (APHA), was quoted about the importance of elevating the national discussion about the connection between climate change and human health. The conference has been rescheduled and will be sponsored by the APHA and several nongovernmental groups such as the Harvard Global Health Institute.
