Mission: 
The HealthCare Institute of New Jersey (HINJ) serves as the voice for the research-based biopharmaceutical and medical technology industry in New Jersey. HINJ seeks to expand patient access to the most innovative biopharmaceuticals and medical technologies and to promote awareness of the industry’s impact on our state’s quality of life and economic well-being.

HINJ member companies include 12 of the world’s top 20 research-based biopharmaceutical companies and five of the world’s top 20 medical technology companies.

HINJ is closely aligned with the state’s higher education institutions, including Rutgers University, the state’s flagship public research university; the globally known Princeton University, which is expanding its collaboration with industry; Rowan University, which operates two medical schools; and the New Jersey Innovation Institute (NJII) at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), the state’s public technological research university.

HINJ is a co-founder of InnovationNJ, a diverse coalition of leading businesses, trade associations and higher education institutions established to strengthen and enhance the culture of innovation in New Jersey by fostering collaboration, sharing best practices and addressing opportunities associated with research and innovation in our state.
