Supporting the Advocacy Awards – an annual, signature event for Research!America and the research community – is a powerful and unique way to engage with key stakeholders from the medical and health research ecosystem.

Through the Advocacy Awards and in partnership with our sponsors, we are able to:

• honor individuals and organizations whose leadership efforts have advanced our nation’s commitment to medical, health, and scientific research;
• inspire the next generation of medical and health research advocates;
• shine a spotlight on the value of scientific innovation and public health.

Engagement in the event provides the opportunity to connect with current and past honorees, network and exchange ideas with top leadership from patient organizations, industry, and academia and the Research!America Board. Honorees include outstanding advocates for medical and health research and individuals, entities, or partnerships demonstrating a commitment to research through discovery, innovation, public communications, and leadership.

The event includes an in-person reception with special programming featuring the honorees. The audience includes government relations and C-Suite personnel from industry, academia, independent research institutes, philanthropies, and scientific societies; congressional staff; patients and individuals with senior level positions in patient advocacy organizations; scientists at all levels; and members of the general public.
