Hon. Roy Blunt
Senator Roy Blunt represented Missouri in the U.S. Senate for 12 years and the U.S. House of Representatives for 14 years, becoming one of only two Americans ever elected by colleagues to leadership positions in both chambers. In the Senate, he chaired the Republican Policy Committee and Rules Committee, led two Presidential Inaugural Committees, and served on the Appropriations, Commerce, and Intelligence Committees.
As Chair of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education, he championed investments in medical research, Alzheimer’s disease initiatives, and mental health. In recognition of his leadership, the NIH named the Center for Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias in his honor.
Earlier in his career, Senator Blunt was a history teacher, university president, county official, and Secretary of State of Missouri.
Senator Blunt is Chairman of the Leadership Strategies Advisory Services group at HB Strategies and an Executive Fellow at the Bipartisan Policy Center. He serves on Anthropic’s bipartisan National Security and Public Sector Advisory Council and the boards of Tenet Healthcare, Nightwing, and the Danforth Plant Science Center. He is also a member of the Commission on Presidential Debates and previously served on the Southwest Airlines Board and as Chair of the Advisory Board of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.
