The Forum now includes a dedicated early career track, offering workshops, career tours, and networking opportunities to help prepare the next generation of researchers.
Advocacy Awards – Be part of recognizing notable leaders and key organizations whose commitment to advocacy for research and innovation has advanced medical and public health progress in profoundly important ways.

Convenings
Invitation-only convenings bring together senior leaders from across the research and health ecosystem to discuss timely and complex issues. Participation helps inform Research!America’s advocacy agenda and includes representatives from academia, industry, government, and patient groups.
Sponsored Webinars
Research!America hosts webinars on topics of shared interest to partners and members, featuring cross-sector perspectives from academia, industry, government, and patient advocacy. These moderated 90-minute sessions reach alliance members, congressional staff, and the public, and are widely promoted and archived for ongoing use.
Commissioned Public Opinion Surveys
Public Opinion Surveys – Establish survey data to support your advocacy efforts. Since 1992, Research!America has commissioned more than 130 surveys, in 47 states and nationally, to measure a variety of topics related to research and medical progress. Survey results have appeared online and in opinion pieces, letters-to-the editor, and news articles in national and regional publications.
Fellowships & Internships
Policy And Advocacy Fellowship – Create a meaningful experience for post-doctoral scientists to learn about the policymaking process as it bears on all stakeholders. The program aims to engage and bolster participants’ analytical and communication skills as they work side-by-side with permanent staff and with senior-level mentors on a diversity of federal, science-relevant, policy, and funding issues.
Policy & Communications Internships – Provide students the opportunity to immerse themselves in a range of hands-on advocacy experiences aimed at introducing them to, or furthering their knowledge of, science and health policy. As part of their experience, interns are aligned with mid- and senior-level mentors.
