Emergency Spending Package Talks Continue
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin are continuing to speak regularly with the goal of arriving at an emergency spending package that can pass both chambers of Congress and be signed into law without further delay. The President has also said he supports a new spending package.
Unless we fight for it, this emergency spending legislation will not include supplemental research funding to help fill the gaps created by COVID-19. Together we have to make this a priority. Research delays are an emergency. Patients and our society as a whole cannot afford science setbacks.

@SpeakerPelosi @stevenmnuchin1 Thank you for continuing to negotiate an emergency spending bill Americans desperately need. Please include at least $26 billion to put American ingenuity to work against #COVID19, #Alzheimers & other health threats.#ResearchAmerica #fundscience
Thank you for taking action!
