The National Multiple Sclerosis Society kicks off MS Awareness Week, March 7-13, with a new campaign that engages people across the MS movement to raise awareness, and share experiences and solutions they’ve uncovered to live their best lives. The “Together We Are Stronger” public service awareness campaign features people impacted by multiple sclerosis and how their fierce resolve has developed solutions that unite us and make us stronger than MS. In addition to TV, radio, print, online and billboard PSAs, a new website offers a place to find and share strength, inspiration, powerful stories and diverse, innovative solutions to overcoming the many challenges of multiple sclerosis: www.WeAreStrongerThanMS.org.
Through the Society’s State Action Days around the nation and 25th annual Public Policy Conference March 14-16 in Washington, D.C., MS activists are raising awareness with state legislators and members of Congress and driving change. They’re advocating for policies important to people with MS such as research, improved access to medications, Medicaid expansion and financial support for accessible home modifications. State legislatures are also issuing proclamations and Congress will introduce a resolution in recognition of MS Awareness Week.
