The Zika Virus Resource Center, supported by Elsevier, provides information on the virus to medical professionals, health researchers, policy makers, media and the general public. The virus, which is spread by mosquitoes, has been declared a public health emergency of international concern by the World Health Organization. The Center includes commentaries from experts and clinicians, publicly available research articles from peer-reviewed journals, patient and traveler information and other online resources. The portal also includes information for researchers working on developing a vaccine for the Zika virus through Scopus, the world's largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature, to find both the latest and top-cited research, potential research partners and journals.
